Explaining
I’m still waiting for the cable company to come turn off our internet and cable. Next to go home phone and netflix
We’re getting rid of just about everything because DH got laid off on 12-1-08
of course I get to hear things like, “this is your fault. if you had just stuck DS in school from the beginning and had always had a job it would be ok for me to be laid off. and the next kid we have is going to school from the beginning.”
pray for me
thanks

Army Inside U.S. to Deal with Civil Unrest Beginning Next Month
Not sure if this is true but one of my son’s friends has a brother that was overseas in the war and this whole time we’ve known the friend and his mom they didn’t know when the brother would be coming back ….
the brother came home yesterday — wonder if many military personnel will be coming home to aid in this unit?

In honor of Elul Day 3/4
thanks Anna for reminding me I even made such a goal post — touchdown? LOL
below is pasted my goals 2008 …. should we be outta here soon I’m seeing what was done/not done…should we have a few more months, well there’s things to do either way.
Goals 2008
First some background. I thought there should be four parts to my goals list for 2008 and cover three areas where applicable in each of the four parts. Let me explain why. And thank Anna for the insight
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. ((could this be both mind and strength…possibly….a smooshed word, remember that taking 2 words and melding them into one?))
Mark 12:29-30
29And Yeshua answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
((and you thought Yeshua was all about the new only))
Renew – Soul – Spiritual
For Yeshua – Praise HIM and Thank HIM Daily
Does reciting Psalm 23 count? if so Check
For Others – pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.I don’t know if I remember to do this daily, but I do constantly Check
Personal – Read through the WORD chronologically, Continue with weekly Torah,
Haftarah, and Brit Hadasha readings, and read one to three
TorahClass lessons per weekI’m 2 days ahead of schedule on the chrono read thru and since that included reading Torah early on, each week’s Torah study with others is more like a refresher. Next time thru I plan to stick with Torah portions weekly and only read 1 chapter of the rest daily still in chrono order starting with Joshua. Still working on TorahClass, when on vacation it was easy to read a lesson a day since no other homechores could be done, but at home life happens. Yield
Redo – Heart – Relational
For Yeshua – donate food to the food pantry and donate to any charity HE lays on
my hearthave a few times this year but could use some improvement yield
For Others – Love on DH more, snuggle and play with DS more, be less ‘real’ with
other family members (vague talk, no more casting my pearls before
swine), and deepen friendships with like minded Believerslove on DH more …. comes and goes…especially with the your a loser wife talks so not even giving a light
time with DS no sweat Check
less real with family who show disdain for Hebrew Roots … need more help in containing wisdom yield
deepen friendships with like minded believers — really enjoying these people Check
Revise – Strength – Projects/Physical Goals
For Yeshua – a clutter free and company ready apartment so I can minister and be
hospitable to whomever HE sends our wayfor a month I’ve been at least daily cleaning the bathroom and kitchen and weekly vacuuming … not clutter free but waiting for no spiders to be found yield
For Others – a routine in placed and used so the home is a place of calm and
order for DH & DSroutine – yes if that means a basic order to the day … if it means set times uh no yield ?
Personal – Eat healthier ((bye bye white sugar)) and cardio workout 3 times per
week and strength train 2 times per week in order to be fit and ready to
serve Yah however HE leadsyes to the exercise …. sugar still hard habit to break
Reflect – Mind – knowledge/intellect
For Yeshua – attend a Messianic Seminary and finish Volume II by Charlotte
Mason to be better equipped to home educate the precious boy HE
has entrusted to us to raiseX tried to attend classes at Messianic Seminary and DH said no …. I did read thru volume I by CM last year … I’m sorry her ideas are great but her books are DRY … I’m just going to read the summaries at AO website ….whatever
For Others – Finish Year 1 and Start Year 2 alongside DS ((we do it together so he
doesn’t feel even more of the only child syndrome))v We made it thru Year 1 leaving AIS, T&T, and Just so stories out …. Year 2 is on hold as we have a Year 1.5 but plans are still to get around to Year 2
Personal – land an accounting related career that can mostly be done from my
homegot one outside the home …. huge dilemna this whole time DH has wanted me to work and said I’m a loser who can’t handle people and that’s why I can’t keep a job but just today my boss called for my 6 month review and DH said what haven’t you quit that job yet you don’t have time for a job you are homeschooling our son. uh which is it? you want me to work or you don’t … please make up your mind. YIELD because it’s not an at home career
“The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing. But in todays culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture.” Doug Phillips –
We’ve been TTC#2 since June 2002 …. prayers appreciated
red X here too …. still waiting on HIM to fulfill this need…if HE even wants to …

Elul 5768
Could this be the year … so much to do in just 30 days … and even so Come L-RD Yeshua!
P s a l m 27
27:1
is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
27:2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
27:3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
27:4 One thing have I desired of
, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of
all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of
, and to inquire in his temple.
27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto
.
27:7 Hear, O
, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face,
, will I seek.
27:9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O Elohim of my salvation.
27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then
will take me up.
27:11 Teach me thy way, O
, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
27:12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of
in the land of the living.
27:14 Wait on
: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on
.

OK what do you think?
****UpDaTe At BoTtOm****
My DH is actually reading the Bible … all beit it’s NIV but still he’s reading it.
Although I think he’s doing it to try and argue with me.
He’s mad that I won’t eat pig or shellfish anymore. And he knows Genesis is my fave book in the Bible so he’s reading it and yesterday says to me,
“ok so if you can’t eat pork, why did God tell Noah in chapter 9 that every moving thing that liveth is meat ((see verses 3-4 of chapter 9)) and if there were animals we were not meant to eat, wouldn’t God have let them all drown?”
I told him that the animals didn’t just come 2 by 2 as in all the cutesy stories, there was a distinction already between clean and unclean animals and it was never a question on Noah’s part that when God said good news now you can eat not only produce as before but also meat …Noah knew God was talking of the clean animals, why would anyone want to eat an unclean animal…you know the phrase ‘you are what you eat’ ….”
Genesis 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
So you see, he’s trying to read scripture just to find a verse or two to argue his point …. and now we see why there are so many different “statements of faith”
anyone can take a verse to prove their point …and it’s even easier with all those translations out there to find one that says what you believe … well it matters not what we believe, we have no right to re-arrange HIS commands to suit our perceived notions of what is right and wrong.
Also anyone hear about this belief in Yeshua is against the Noachide laws? I’m going to ask my Intro to Jewish Roots instructor about that one also. The guy who leads our HavDalah get togethers doesn’t acknowledge the Noachide laws or else I’d ask his take on it as well. So share your thoughts please and I’ll share what I find out when I do as well.
oh and I’m still sad and very thankful that Anna is praying for me. Thanks Anna.
ok so I am very glad he’s reading the Bible, that was not the issue … my point is what say you regarding the eating of pork and shellfish? Do you think that Noah ate such disgusting things? and regarding Yeshua being an “idol” according to the Noachide laws? that is all, thanks

Groanings
help me accept this loss
Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.Psalm 20:4
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.Why…..
Is it because You think I’m not …….
Are You wanting to …
No respector of persons, huh? ……
What more can I …..
When will You ….
Please, I am …..
Psalm 69:3
I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my G-D.
Psalm 6:2
Have mercy upon me, O L-RD; for I am weak: O L-RD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
Psalm 51:8
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Jacob 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.YOU know the trial ((and no it’s not a house … which is just a material possession and at this point I could care less….it’s not the drive and yet also torment I’m facing))
Jacob 3:14
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.Jacob 4:2-3
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.Jacob 4:6-10
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.Psalm 51
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.Jacob 4:15
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.Jacob 5:7-11
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
