  • 2008 Bible Read Through and TorahClass

I'm reading through chronologically this time.

    Genesis - Check

    Job - check

    Exodus - Check

    Leviticus - now in

Leviticus 3:17 - It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.  ((is chicken skin fat?))

Leviticus 5:17 - And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

Romans 5:13 - (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Romans 3:20 - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Galatians 3:24 - Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Romans 3:31 - Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Sounds like the next time a certain class is taught I may want to be in the front row...

    613 Laws I
An in-depth analysis of each of the 613 Laws of God as enumerated in the Torah. Deals with such questions as: Is God’s Law relevant to Christians? Which laws are applicable to Jews today? Which laws are applicable to non-Jews? What is the purpose behind dietary laws? Which laws were culturally, rather than spiritually, relevant? What about God’s grace?

I do know there is no flaw in Torah and that it is a guide and boundary for us to know what is right and wrong.  Even though Yeshua is my Saviour, it does help to read HIS Word (Torah) and study it and yes the Holy Spirit will remind me of it in situations.

    Matthew 5:17-20
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
