  • Yuck

The wind blew my vehicle door open as I was trying to get out and smacked the car beside me.  It's my neighbor's car.  I'm awaiting what she'll say, as she's not home yet.  Prayer please

my DH is complaining because some guy at works 5 year old can read and do math and yet our son has to think to answer 3+3 and says he doesn't know what a plus sign is.  DH says our DS should get 50 minutes a day in each subject and be smarter than the other kids....my take is I don't want to burden him with that much school work and cause him to hate school work in the long run and hello there are 12 years of this stuff.

then DH way layed me about saturday not being the Sabbath because people all thru time have been changing the days how do we know it's the real 7th day.  and when he was a kid they went to a 2 hour service, lunch at church then hours of prayer/singing followed by another service that is really keeping the whole Sabbath and I said Sabbath keeping does not mean being in church all day and I am not under constantine's rule and am not catholic and DH retailiated with "you're not Jewish either" so I said "I've been grafted in"

well time to review Family Guide to the Biblical Holidays, maybe it will have something in there.

  • Gosh, there was that 17 month old on TV last week that could read...you're really behind... Just kidding.
It's so hard for us as parents not to get into comparing and competing like it is a personal reflection on us. You know your child...do what he can do...if he wants more and is up to the challenge...go for it...Your the momma...your the teacher..... pray about it and do what the spirit leads you to do . Don't stress, at this age, make it fun and something he enjoys. Give him a love for it first and foremost...the rest will be icing on the cake. That is what homeschooling is all about...instilling a love for learning as opposed to getting another ticket punch. You go mom!!!
